Gearbox - Multi-Purpose Studio

This client leads an international beauty and skincare company, so the design of this project needed to combine all his passions. Fashion, photography, make-up artist training, as well as the restoring of classic cars, have been combined to create a building and creative venue that supports these activities. This former construction supply warehouse has been transformed into a hidden jewel within this neighborhood. The building supports several business interests and creates a unique venue to host social events for the Owner’s charitable causes.

The newly transformed 20,000 sq. ft. building supports Offices and Studios providing services to the Hollywood Film Industry and the Fashion Industry. The new facility supports fashion photoshoots with studio lighting and a 40’ x 40’ cyc backdrop. The make-up and hair Styling Studio provides training for an elite group of professionals from the fashion industry. The Auto Gallery showcases the art of automobile design. On the roof are several automotive restoration bays to bring vintage automobiles back to as-new condition.
