The original Sea Island Hotel was created in 1928 and has been well loved by visitors to this region. Over time, the standards of luxury have evolved, and it was ultimately determined that the hotel would need to be re-imagined to meet the requirements of 5-Star Hotels. BDG was part of the design team that created a new hotel and integrated some of the most loved and iconic spaces of the original.
The new (265) Guest Room 5-Star Hotel has been re-imagined and relocated nicely along the river, with views to the water and landscape. The new hotel has extensive Conference Facilities and (3) restaurants to support guest needs. The hotel embraces the historic architectural design of this region, with all of the modern information technology and audiovisual infrastructure integrated behind the scenes.
On Sea Island, the hotel is part of a residential community with Golf Courses, Golf Club, Beach Club, and a Health Spa.
